TwittAd was formed to give Twitter users and advertisers the opportunity to meet for product placement & website promotion on a Twitter user profile.

Plenty of people are developing ideas for monetizing Twitter, but few seem viable. Twittad appears to offer a financial solution to prolific twittererers.

You will get paid every hour you serve the ad. A Virtual Account balance will be calculated and once the advertisers ad expires the money is released into your Real Account balance.

The system breaks down like this for Twitter users:

Post Twitter account for advertisers to purchase

Select your duration & price

Wait for advertiser to purchase

Accept or Deny the proposed ad within 48 hours of purchase

If you accept the ad we will use the Twitter API to upload the ad to your Twitter profile

1-Tweet Promo Sent

At the end of the tenure Final Tweet Sent

At the end of the day is this a viable solution?

I lean towards the NO, for these reasons:

Only 1 testimonial

I can’t keep my current kickass background @jordannilsen

No analytics or tracking

Limited functionality

Non-dynamic ads are not-so-hot

I don’t know if this latest app it worth my time. I traditionally rank twitter users by the ratio of FOLLOWING to FOLLOWERS. I am suspicious of anyone following 4x as many people as follow them. Twitter’s handy search function is a good enough tool to find anyone using keywords.

I have questions for the developers:

You can do mass adds, but can you do mass removes?

Can you categorize your results into manageable buckets?

Can you preview matched results and choose only appropriate tweeters?

I don’t dislike the idea of Twollow enough to decline watching their how-to video. Here it is for all to watch.
